How Do SU Students Spend Their Time?
A recent social media voluntary-response poll at Salisbury University shows that students are splitting their academic time differently than national averages might suggest. The majority of SU students—74%—report spending between 2-6 hours per day on both class and homework. Of that, 16% even dedicate more than 6 hours daily to academic work.
When compared to national statistics, full-time students across the U.S. spend an average of 2.8 hours on education-related activities daily, with 4 hours allocated for socializing and leisure. This raises the question: Are SU students prioritizing academics more than their peers, or are they better at balancing leisure and work?
