At 9:26 P. M., Salisbury University students were informed via text message and email that SU offices and classes will be closed tomorrow due to inclement weather. Light snow began blanketing campus at approximately 1:30 P. M. and the university has been effectively closed since 3:00 P. M.
Snow showers are expected to continue until Thursday afternoon. The Guerrieri Student Union and Commons building will be opened tomorrow during regular times.

As the snow continues to fall, SU students have expressed mixed feelings regarding the frigid conditions caused by Storm Kingston, which has been making its way eastward.
Charlie, an SU freshman, expressed anger with the snow because his plans to go to the gym were soured by Maggs’ closure. Though he did not have any plans for the remainder of the day, he did recall having fun during last week’s snowstorm.
“Last time it snowed we did have a snowball fight, I remember hitting [my RA] a couple times.”
Isabella, an SU senior who works at Cool Beans, is originally from Colombia. For her, the snow is a new experience.
“I can’t keep up with this weather, I’m freezing,” she said. “[Last week] was my first time seeing snow, so the first day I was happy, the second day I was like ‘okay,’ the third day I was done.”
Every time snow falls on campus, she explained, there is a rush at the local Starbucks where she works, which can be stressful.

Raven, an SU student who is a part of the Dance Company, was bummed out by the cancellation of her group’s 4:00 P. M. rehearsal. She also is not the biggest fan of the frigid weather.
“It’s cold all the time and it doesn’t help me a lot with my emotional state, I don’t find myself as happy in the winter,” she said, alluding to seasonal mood changes. “I hope the weather will pass soon.”
“My goal is to stay inside as much as possible, hang out with friends, play games and hopefully just spend some time together,” she said.
